Caravan Packing List

This is our personal packing list. Here it is in PDF format.

Legal Requirements (if going abroad).

Equipment

Breathalyzers (2 if disposable – 1 if reusable) for driving in France.
Headlight deflectors (or get lights adjusted before departure).
Reflective waistcoats (one per passenger) - stored inside car, not in the boot.
Spare Bulbs for Car.
Warning Triangle(s).

A lot of the above stuff is probably already in the car.

Paperwork

Car V5 document.
Driving Licence (including paper attachment if on a photo-licence).
Insurance Document + Green card if required.
Make sure Car Tax is valid until after your return.
MOT Certificate (Make sure it's valid until after your return).
Passports (Make sure that they are valid until after your return).

Non-Legal but essential (if going abroad).

Breakdown Insurance.
Contact numbers for Cards / Breakdown / Travel Insurance.
E111 or equivalent.
Spare car keys.
Tickets.
Travel Insurance documents.

We don't take a television as we are very much radio listeners.
Most van related and cooking items are kept in the van anyway.

Batteries for radio.
Battery chargers for phones / tablet / Laptop Computer / GPS / Cameras.
Books. If taking library books, make sure they don't run out while away (or take the library phone number / web address and renew over the phone / internet).
Cameras.
Computer.

GPS and any connecting cables.
Medicines (inc. Wasp-eze, Paracetemols, etc.).
- Ensure you have enough prescription medicines to last until after your return.
Money in appropriate currency / Debit / Credit cards.
