This is the simplest of the lot.

Before packing the van away, after emptying the toilet and the water containers, close the 'dispatch hatch' and either:

Either pour enough olive oil onto the hatch to cover it (about 2 tablespoons).
This will dry out after a few months so will need to be checked and topped up every month.

or Spray the hatch with a silicon spray.

If your rotating knob is smooth, then there is an upgrade kit available from Thetfords, which uses a knob with finger grips + some other parts.
